    Mulm besteht zum größten Teil aus den schwer abbaubaren Resten von Abfallstoffen, die im Aquarium anfallen.
    Typische Abfallstoffe im Aquarium sind die Exkremente der Fische, Futterreste und abgestorbene Blätter.
    Dabei fallen nicht alle Abfallstoffe, z. B. Fischkot, direkt auf den Boden und bilden den Mulm, sondern sie werden
    zunächst relativ schnell im Wasser gelöst. Diese im Wasser gelösten organischen Stoffe werden nun von Bakterien
    im Filter und im Aquarium abgebaut. Erst die Überreste dieser Abbauprozesse sammeln sich als sichtbarer Mulm an.
    Mulm (auch als Detrit bezeichnet) ist also eine Mischung aus Abfallstoffen und den Überresten der biologischen Abbauprozesse
    im Aquarium. Erkennbar als ein brauner (flockig-luftig) Belag auf dem Bodengrund eines Aquariums.

    Ein Mulmsauger funktioniert mit Unterdruck:
    - das Wasser kurz ansaugen und Mulm und Aquarienwasser gemeinsam in einen Eimer fließen lassen
    - mit der Mulmglocke (Ansaugrohr) durch den Aquarienboden stochern
    - so werden die Abfälle entfernt
    - einfaches Ansaugen dank integrierter Pumpe

    Gebrauchsanleitung vor Inbetriebnahme des Geräts bitte unbedingt aufmerksam und vollständig durchlesen.
